1Acceptance

By using Pail you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2What Pail is, and is not

Pail is a client for storage you own. It uploads your photos and videos to an S3-compatible bucket that you configure and pay for. Pail is not a storage provider: it holds none of your files, and has no server that receives them.

3No account, no server

Pail has no accounts and no sign-in, and runs no server that stores data about you. Your bucket and its keys are your access: keep them safe, because we cannot reset, recover or reissue them.

4Your storage is yours

You contract directly with your storage provider and pay them directly. You are responsible for your own credentials — keep them safe, and keep the ability to reach your bucket. Pail cannot recover data from a bucket it cannot reach, and Pail has no copy of your files to fall back on.

5Acceptable use

You must have the right to the content you upload, and you must not use Pail to store or distribute unlawful material.

6The one-time purchase

There is one optional one-time purchase, pail_lifetime. It unlocks nothing — every feature is free and unlimited regardless. It exists to support development, and it is non-transferable between stores. Refunds are handled under Google Play's policy, not ours.

7Availability

Pail is provided without a service-level agreement. Uploads run only while the app is open. Features may change over time.

8Intellectual property

The Pail app is ours. Your photos are yours. We claim no licence over your content, and your content does not become ours by being uploaded to your own storage.

9Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law in Indonesia, Pail is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for data stored in storage you control.

10Termination

You may stop using Pail at any time. Deleting the app does not delete your bucket or your photos — they are yours and remain wherever you put them.

11Changes

We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Indonesia.
